Emly Historical Society will host a talk by historian Dr. Noreen Higgins McHugh entitled “Tipperary in 1920” in St Ailbe’s Hall, Emly on March 12 @ 8pm. The talk will cover the many events that occurred in County Tipperary during the War of Independence in 1920. Admission is €5. Refreshments will be served after the event.
Dr. Noreen Higgins McHugh from Kilfeakle is a renowned historian and has written on the Tithe Wars, given talks on the genealogy and was involved in the Tipperary conference on the War of Independence.
