St Ailbe’s Day in 2015 was marked for the first time in many years in a short ceremony organized by Emly Historical Society at St Ailbe’s well. A short prayer ceremony was held and water was taken from the well and blessed by Fr Rochford. The water was then carried inside the church and offered during the offertory procession of the normal Saturday evening mass.
