Emly historical society held their first event on Monday 4th May – a guided tour of the 1921 way of independence ambush site in Lackelly. The tour included the battle site and other local landmarks. The guided walk was led by Charlie Richardson was very well attended and all reported back on the wealth of historic information that was told to us . It made it all the better that the weather behaved and we were able to complete the actual route of that period .
